Absolutely Yes! You can use our customiser tool to design your personalised photo puzzle. This means we'll make your puzzle to your design. You can see a preview on screen and amend your design until you're happy with it
You can use any image of your choice by simply uploading it to our customiser tool. You can also add text to the puzzles, for example, "Happy Birthday"
Rectangular images work best, either portrait or landscape, in the largest size you have. Please upload original images where possible (not screenshots or low-resolution web images) for the best possible quality.
Just upload your photo and choose a number of pieces from the options.
We’ll make your photo puzzle by printing your image onto professional puzzle board. Then, we’ll cut the puzzle using our purpose-built photo puzzle cutting tool.
All our puzzles are precision cut using the latest equipment in our studio in Essex. This means we can offer a next working day dispatch service.
Jigbox will also make a custom box for your puzzle – with the photo you upload printed on the outside. This creates a professional item that’s perfect as a gift for any occasion and all ages.
File types we accept:
• If you’re ordering a jigsaw puzzle a JPEG or PNG should be fine.
• We can also accept TIF files or even Photoshop PSD – please note that these are much larger in file size so may take longer to upload and process.
• It’s best to stick to high quality JPEG files
Image guidance:
Please bear in mind though that the original image always offers the best quality in reproduction. For example, please send us the picture you took on your phone or camera wherever possible – not a screenshot of the picture on your phone.
This will give us the full-size, original image which your camera has captured at full resolution, where as a screen-shot will be greatly reduced in size and is therefore of a lower resolution when it comes to printing.
Please also be aware that images uploaded and then downloaded from social media accounts will be subject to a lot of compression. We therefore would strongly advise that you supply the original photo from your phone or camera. Again this will result in a better quality starting image.
We may need to crop or adjust your image to fit. We try to ensure 3mm of ‘bleed’ – in other words allow images and graphics to go off the edges of the document so we can trim the excess and not show white edges on the finished article.
Further help:
If you prefer you can also send us Adobe files from Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Due to the size of these assets, you may prefer to use a file transfer service such as WeTransfer, Google Drive or DropBox. Just message us at hello@jigbox.co.uk and we’ll ensure your files are allocated to your order accordingly.

Sometimes to ensure your image is the correct proportion and orientation to offer the best product we may use AI to extend images and backgrounds. Our team use this system to ensure you receive the best possible product from us. We only do this when absolutely necessary and when it will not have a detrimental impact on the finished item(s).
High-contrast images with distinct colours and clear details are the easiest to piece together. If your photo has well-defined areas—like a bright blue sky, a vivid red jacket, or a patterned background—you’ll be able to sort and assemble sections more quickly. On the other hand, dark, blurry, or highly repetitive patterns (like an all-green forest or a foggy landscape) will make things trickier.
Yes! If you want to display your puzzle, you’ll need to keep the pieces securely in place. A puzzle adhesive works well—apply it to the front and back for extra stability. Mounting it on a foam board before framing will help prevent sagging over time. For larger puzzles, consider using an additional wall hook to support the weight.
